CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA—Penn State Women's Tennis concluded play at Super ITA Regionals.
Nittany Lions' Sofiya Chekhlystova and Yvonne Zuffova concluded their tournament play at Super ITA Regionals, hosted by Virginia. Chekhlystova competed against Elaine Chervinsky of Virginia in a competitive two-set match. Sofiya battled Chervinsky in a close 6-4 first set, however fell short 7-5 in the second set.
Yvonne Zuffova battled Yuliia Starodubtseva of Old Dominion in a two-set match. Yvonne fell to Stardodubsteva 6-1 in the first set of play. She continued to fight in the second set of play however the result ended in a 6-2 second set fall to her opponent.
Overall, on the weekend the Nittany Lions earned two huge singles wins and continued to progress through doubles play in preparation for spring play. Continue to keep updated on Penn State's spring schedule and all news Penn State Women's Tennis.
