Penn State Women's Tennis Concludes Third Day Of Play At Northern ITA Regionals

ANNAPOLIS, Md.--The Nittany Lions continue to find success at Northern ITA Regionals during their third day of play. The tournament will conclude Monday, Oct. 4. 

Singles 

Yvonne Zuffova continued to dominate by earning a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Minorka Miranda of Maryland. She will face Jojo Bach of Delaware in the quarterfinals. 

Doubles 

Penn State duo, Sofiya Chekhlystova and Gabby O'Gorman continued their impressive tournament run by adding another win over Katreina Corpuz and Meghana Komarraju of Navy 6-1.  

Alina Lebedeva and Yvonne Zuffova defeated Agata Mikos and Mchaley Hoe of Georgetown, 6-4. The duo will face their teammates Alexandra Nielsen and Karly Friedman in the semi-final play tomorrow.  

Nielsen and Friedland defeated Penn State duo Danielle Alamo and Deanna Lasorda in a 6-1 match. 

Penn State will continue to seak victory at Northern ITA Regionals on the final day of competition.
