PARKING UPDATE
With Penn State men's basketball in the Bryce Jordan Center also scheduled for Tuesday evening, the following changes will be in effect for women's hockey game parking:
- The Shields parking lot on the corner of Curtin Road and University Dr. is only available by pre-paying on ParkMobile (available until 11:59 p.m. Monday night, Jan. 10).
- The Stadium West parking lot will also accept cash sales upon arrival. Stadium West parking can also be prepaid through ParkMobile.
All Penn State Athletics non-football events will require a valid permit or payment of the applicable parking fee for campus lots. Complimentary parking will no longer be issued for season ticket holders.
Fans with valid Penn State University Park parking permits will be permitted to park at non-football athletics events for free, following Transportation Services parking policies and access.
Fans without a permit are encouraged to prepay for event parking at a discounted rate through ParkMobile - https://psu.parkmobile.io/. Prepayment is available through 11:59 p.m. the day prior to each event. Season packages will be available for general parking for most sports, and information on VIP parking options available for select events will be released later.

THE MATCHUP
The Nittany Lions play the first of two games in a home-and-home series with Cornell on Tuesday, with another matchup in Ithaca set for Feb. 8.
Penn State and Cornell have played twice in their history and both games ended in ties. They first met in Nov. 2017 and skated to a 1-1 tie at Cornell. The latest matchup between the programs at Pegula was a 3-3 tie Jan. 8, 2019.
LAST TIME OUT: BATTLE AT THE 'BURGH
The Nittany Lions began the second half of their season with a 1-1 performance at the Battle at the 'Burgh Jan. 1-2 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, the practice facility of the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins. PSU dropped in OT to St. Cloud State, 4-3, before bouncing back with a strong 3-0 shutout of Boston University the next day.
In game one, the Nittany Lions scored a pair of power-play goals by Julie Gough and Lyndie Lobdell along with an even strength score from Olivia Wallin, but the Huskies completed a comeback from down 3-1 in the third period to win in OT.
The next day, Penn State put together a complete and sound team effort to take out BU in Josie Bothun's fifth shutout of the season. Natalie Heising and Kiara Zanon each had 1G, 2A each for three-point games while Julie Gough netted her second goal of the weekend.
IMPORTANT NUMBERS
2 - Sophomore goaltender Josie Bothun became the second Nittany Lion ever to win an HCA national player of the month award when she was named co-national goalie of the month for December.
3 - The Nittany Lions defense has been particularly good of late with three shutouts in the last four games. Bothun is building on her new PSU record with nine career shutouts and counting.
1 - Natalie Heising and Kiara Zanon top the CHA scoring charts with 27 points each. Heising also leads the league with 13 goals and Zanon ranks first with 20 assists.
10 - Kiara Zanon has 10 multipoint games this season, which breaks the previous PSU single-season record set by Zanon in 2020-21. She has 5 in the last 6 games.
