UNIVERSITY PARK, PA—The Penn State's women's tennis team (10-11, 4-4 B1G) will host Rutgers (4-13, 4-12 B1G) on Friday at 4 p.m. and Maryland (16-5, 5-4 B1G) for their Senior Day match on Sunday at noon. Sunday's match will conclude the regular season for the Nittany Lions.
Last Time Out
The Nittany Lions fell to Minnesota in a close contest on the road last Sunday, 4-2.
Penn State battled in singles play earning wins on courts No. 2 and No.3, but it was not enough to defeat Minnesota.
On court No. 3 Gabby O'Gorman swept Ekin Erceti in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3. Yvonne Zuffova earned a three-set victory on court No. 2 over Emilee Duong, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Scouting The Scarlet Knights
Rutgers enters its matchup against Penn State with a 4-13 overall season record and 4-12 Big Ten Record. The Nittany Lions defeated the Scarlet Knights 5-2 in their last matchup on March 19, 2021 and hold a two-match win streak.
After their matchup in Happy Valley, Rutgers will face No. 10 Ohio State on the road on Sunday at 11 a.m. ET.
Scouting The Terrapins
Maryland comes into this weekend's action with a 3-4 record on the road and will travel to No.10 Ohio State before concluding regular season play against Penn State.
In their last matchup on March 21, 2021, the Nittany Lion defeated Maryland, 6-1.
