Olsakovsky and Griffin Lead Penn State After Second Day of Big Ten Championships

FRENCH LICK, Ind. – Graduate student Lou Olsakovsky and freshman Jake Griffin are both tied for 12th to lead the Penn State men's golf team following the second round of the Big Ten Championships at the Pete Dye Course at French Lick Saturday.  
 
The Nittany Lions shot 10-over, 298, in Saturday's round, and sit at 13-over, 589, through the first two rounds of the event. Just nine strokes separate the fourth through ninth-place teams in a tightly-packed team race.  
 
Olsakovsky shot Penn State's best round of the day with an even 72. He now sits at 2-over, 146, through the first two rounds and in a tie for 12th place. Griffin is also tied for 12th at 2-over, 146, after carding a 3-over, 75, Saturday.
 
Junior Patrick Sheehan shot a 1-over, 73, Saturday and is tied for 22nd at 3-over, 147, heading into Sunday's final round.
 
Junior Jimmy Meyers shot 6-over, 78, in the second round and is now tied for 38th through the first two rounds at 6-over, 150.
 
Sophomore James Allen carded an 8-over, 80, Saturday and is in 66th place at 16-over, 160.
 
The third and final round of the Big Ten Championship is slated for Sunday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Live scoring will continue to be available on GolfStat.
