Men's Gymnastics Sends Seven Athletes to the U.S. Classic

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Seven men's gymnastics student athletes will be competing at the U.S. Classic on Sunday, July 31 in Salt Lake City, Utah. This event is a qualifier for the U.S. Championships, which will take place on Aug. 18-21. The top 15 finishers by individual event points will qualify for the Championships next month. 
 
Among the athletes traveling to Utah, two have pre-qualified for the Championships. Junior Michael Jaroh has already qualified from his performance at the NCAA Championship this year.  2020 graduate Steven Nedoroscik has also pre-qualified as he is the defending pommel horse World Champion.  
 
Juniors Matt Cormier and Michael Artlip, sophomore Josh Karnes and freshmen Caleb Melton and Will Fleck will also be competing in the qualifiers seeking a spot at the Championship.
 
Ethan Dick, a junior from Auckland, New Zealand is also in the midst of competition. He will be representing Team New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games on July 29- Aug. 2.
