UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's soccer team returns to Jeffrey Field on Sunday, Aug. 21 to host non-conference opponent Duquesne. The Nittany Lions are looking for their first win after drawing 2-2 with Georgetown in their home and season opener Thursday night.

Parking Information
Parking for all Penn State Athletics' non-football events will require a valid permit or payment of the applicable parking fee for campus lots. Fans with valid Penn State University Park parking permits will be permitted to park at non-football athletics events for free, following Transportation Services parking policies and access.
For women's soccer matches, fans are asked to park in the Jordan East, Stadium West or Porter North lots. Fans without a permit are encouraged to prepay for event parking at a discounted rate of $5.50 through ParkMobile - https://psu.parkmobile.io/. Prepayment is available through 11:59 p.m. the day prior to each event. Event day parking will be $10 per vehicle and is cash only/can be purchased on the ParkMobile app. The East Deck is also available for most events for $1 per hour.

LAST TIME OUT
- No. 14 Penn State opened the season by drawing with No. 19 Georgetown 2-2 at Jeffrey Field on Thursday, Aug. 18.
- The Hoyas scored the first and third goals of the match with PSU responding to each with a goal of their own.
- Schlegel scored on a penalty kick in the 36th minute for the Nittany Lions' first goal of the 2022 season. It marks the 35th goal of her career. She is 13 points away from notching 100 career points.
- Wasserman scored in the 70th minute to tie the game 2-2 on an assist by White.
- For freshman White, the assist was the first of her career in her first collegiate appearance.
- PSU out-shot the Hoyas 12 to 5.
- The last time Penn State drew with an opponent in their season opener was in 2019 when the Nittany Lions hosted West Virginia and tied 1-1 after two overtime periods.
SCOUTING DUQUESNE
- The Dukes are 1-0 after beating Ohio in their home opener on 2-1 on Thursday.
- Duquesne conceded a goal in the 20th minute but scored two goals in the 49th and 62nd minutes of the second half for the win.
- Senior midfielder Sarah Wilkinson and freshman forward Maya Matesa accounted for the goals.
- Duquesne was picked to finish in 10th place tied with George Washington in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
- The Dukes return eight starters from the 2021 season, including five of their top six scorers.
- Al Alvine is in his 11th season as the head coach of the Dukes in 2022.
PENN STATE AGAINST DUQUESNE
- Penn State leads the series 3-0 versus Duquesne dating back to 1995, the Nittany Lions' second season as a varsity program.
- The Blue & White won 7-0 in their first match versus the Dukes on Oct. 18, 1995.
- The following year, PSU beat Duquesne 2-0 on Nov. 3, 1996.
- The two teams would not square off for another 22 years until 2018 when Penn State defeated the Dukes 6-0 on August 19.
- The 2018 win vs Duquesne was the Nittany Lions' second game of the season after defeating No. 1-0 West Virginia in their home opener on Jeffrey Field.
- Wasserman scored her first collegiate goal in that game. It was also her first collegiate appearance as a freshman.
- Recent alum Kerry Abello recorded her first collegiate goal and assist in that game as well.
