Sean Clifford

  • QB Sean Clifford threw three touchdown passes on the day, setting the school record for career touchdown passes with 78. He passed Trace McSorley who had 77 touchdown tosses from 2015-18.
  • Clifford finished the game completing 32-of-47 passes for 371 yards and three touchdowns.
  • Clifford's 47 passing attempts today give him 1,239 career passing attempts, setting a new school record for career passing attempts. The record had been held by Christian Hackenberg (1,235 attempts; 2013-15).
  • Clifford connected with Parker Washington for a 58-yard pass in the second quarter.
  • Clifford threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to KeAndre Lambert-Smith later in the second quarter.
  • Clifford threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kaytron Allen in the fourth quarter.
  • Clifford earned his 30th career game with multiple touchdown passes. He also has 16 games with 3+ TD passes.
  • Clifford now has thrown multiple touchdown passes in a half on 22 occasions and multiple touchdowns in a quarter on 15 occasions.
  • Clifford recorded his eighth career 300-yard passing game, finishing the game with 371 passing yards. It also marks Clifford's 24th career 200-yard passing game.
  • Clifford's 371 passing yards today are tied with Christian Hackenberg (2014 vs. Boston College) for the 10th highest single-game total for the Nittany Lions.
  • Clifford's 32 pass completions are tied for fifth in a single game with Christian Hackenberg (2014 vs. UCF) and Trace McSorley (2017 vs. Washington). It is the most by a Penn State QB since he threw 35 completions last year at Ohio State.
  • Clifford's 47 attempts are tied for 13th highest in a single game with Christian Hackenberg (2014 vs. UCF), Trace McSorley (2017 at Michigan State), and with his own mark of 47 at Maryland in 2021.
  • Clifford now has 9,655 career passing yards, just 244 behind Trace McSorley (9,899; 2015-18) for the all-time record at PSU.
  • Clifford earned his 11th career game with 250+ passing yards and 3+ passing touchdowns.
  • Clifford had six completions of 20 or more yards, giving him 28 this year and 133 in his career.

 
Kaytron Allen

  • RB Kaytron Allen scored on a 1-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was his fifth rushing touchdown of the season.
  • Allen grabbed his first career touchdown reception, a 5-yard reception, in the fourth quarter.

Parker Washington

  • The 179 receiving yards by Washington are the ninth highest single-game total at Penn State and the most since Jahan Dotson's 242 yards last year at Maryland.
  • Washington's 11 receptions topped his previous high of nine, done twice and last at Ohio State in 2021.
  • His 179 yards bettered his previous high of 148 yards against Villanova in 2021.
  • Washington earned his third career 100-yard receiving game. Two of those three games have come against Ohio State (108 yards in 2021). He finished the game with 179 receiving yards.
  • Washington joins Jahan Dotson as the only players in Penn State history with two 100-yard receiving games against Ohio State.
  • Washington hauled in his 12th career touchdown reception, moving into sole possession of 16th all-time at Penn State, breaking a tie with Scott Fitzkee (11; 1975-78), Tony Johnson (11; 2000-03), Freddie Scott (11; 1993-95) and Jesse James (11; 2012-14).
  • Washington now has 1,697 career receiving yards, moving him all the way from 17th in the Penn State annals to 13th. On the day, he passed Tony Johnson (1,702; 2000-03), Derrick Williams (1,743; 2005-08), Terry Smith (1,825; 1988-91), and Jack Curry (1,837; 1965-67).
  • Washington's three 20+ yard catches on the day give him 30 career receptions of 20+ yards, including 10 this season.
  • Washington has caught a pass in all 30 games of his career.

 
Mitchell Tinsley

  • WR Mitchell Tinsley has a reception in 34-straight games.
  • He finished the game with five catches.

 
KeAndre Lambert-Smith

  • WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith hauled in a 23-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. It was his fifth career touchdown reception.
  • Lambert-Smith also had a 35-yard grab in the fourth quarter,
  • Lambert-Smith now has four receptions of 20 or more yards this season and 11 in his career.
