HANOVER, N.H. – The Penn State men's tennis team (12-3) took down Dartmouth (10-4) in a 4-3 contest in the Boss Tennis Center in Hanover, N.H. on Saturday afternoon.
DOUBLES
Penn State earned victories on courts two and three to clinch the doubles point versus Bryant.
On No. 2, Miko Eala and Stefan Simeunovic collected a 6-3 win over Henry Ren and Logan Chang to improve to 7-0 in doubles as a pairing. Malik Bhatnagar and Charl Morgan fell 6-4 Waleed Qadir and Miles Croom on court one, before Sam Bossem and Loren Byers secured the point in a 6-4 contest across from Hikaru Takeda and Carlos Guerrero Alvarez.
SINGLES
The Nittany Lions won courts three, four, and five to secure the match over the Big Green.
On No. 2, Byers withdrew opposite Croom, before Eala earned Penn State's first singles point in a 6-4, 6-1 contest over Qadir. Dartmouth grabbed the 2-2 equalizer on court six as Andrei Paduraru fell to Alex Knox-Jones, 6-4, 6-3.
Following after, Bossem took down Henry Ren in a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 decision and Simeunovic collected the clinch on No. 5 versus Hikaru Takeda, 1-6, 7-6(4), 6-4. Dartmouth earned the last point of the dual match as Morgan fell to Guerrero Alvarez, 6-3, 7-6(8), [10-6].
