UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's golf team heads to Ohio State's Kepler Intercollegiate Friday through Sunday for its final tournament before next weekend's Big Ten Championships.
 
The 54-hole Kepler Intercollegiate will be held on the Scarlet Course at the Ohio State Golf Club, a par-71, 7,455-yard course. All participants will tee off on hole No. 1 from 7:30 a.m.-12:50 p.m. for all three rounds. 
 
Penn State will be represented by Patrick Sheehan, Jake Griffin, James Allen, Jimmy Meyers and Billy Pabst Jr. in the lineup this weekend, while Jack Zubkus will be playing as an individual. The 16-team Kepler Intercollegiate field features Abilene Christian, Bowling Green, Butler, Creighton, Dayton, George Mason, Kansas City, Kent State, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Ohio, Ohio State (host), Penn State, South Dakota State, Villanova and Xavier.
 
The Nittany Lions return to the Kepler Intercollegiate for the ninth-straight year. Penn State finished tied for fourth in the 13-team field a season ago, while Patrick Sheehan and Jimmy Meyers both collected top-20 finishes.
 
Penn State is coming off a stellar showing at last weekend's Rutherford Intercollegiate in which the Nittany Lions won their eighth-straight Rutherford team title. Penn State rallied back from a seven-stroke deficit to earn a one-stroke win, finishing the tournament at 3-under, 849. The tournament championship marked head coach Greg Nye's 75th tournament title at Penn State. Allen (t-4th), Meyers (t-6th) and Griffin (t-10th) all finished in the top 10.
