Nittany Lions Sign North Carolina Transfer D’Marco Dunn

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The 2023-24 Penn State men's basketball roster is now complete as head coach Mike Rhoades announced the addition of North Carolina transfer D'Marco Dunn to the Nittany Lion program Thursday. Dunn comes to Happy Valley with two years of eligibility remaining.

Dunn appeared in 50 games throughout the first two seasons of his collegiate career at North Carolina. He played 10.2 minutes per game for the Tarheels during his sophomore season in 2022-23, averaging 2.7 points per game through 27 games played. His season highlights included a 14-point performance against Louisville and scoring eight points in 13 minutes in an ACC Tournament win over Boston College. Dunn saw action in 23 games as a freshman during the 2021-22 season in which the Tarheels advanced to the NCAA national championship game.
 
A former top-100 recruit and consensus four-star prospect coming out of high school, Dunn was ranked as the No. 64 recruit in his class nationally by Rivals and the No. 68 recruit nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
 
Dunn played two seasons at Westover High School in Fayetteville, N.C. where he averaged 21.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game to lead Westover to a 41-3 record through his junior and senior years. He tallied 23.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.7 steals per game as a senior. Dunn led Westover to a 30-0 record, a conference title and a co-State Championship as a junior to earn All-State and District Player of the Year honors. He previously attended Marana High School in Tuscon, Ariz. for two years before moving to North Carolina prior to his junior year.
