UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's golf team continues its fall season Monday and Tuesday when the Nittany Lions travel to the Chicago Highlands Invitational hosted by Wake Forest.
The 54-hole event will be played at the par-72, 7,490 yard Chicago Highlands Club. The course was designed by world-renowned architect Arthur Hills and features elevation changes of over 80 feet, dramatic views of the Chicago skyline, and a style that resembles that of a modernized links course in Scotland.
The 13-team field features six Big Ten teams in Penn State, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan and Rutgers. The field also includes host Wake Forest, College of Charleston, Duke, Furman, Houston, Missouri, Virginia and Yale.
Penn State opened its 2023-24 campaign two weeks ago at the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills. The Nittany Lions finished the event in eighth place as team while graduate student Patrick Sheehan led the way with a sixth-place finish on the individual leaderboard.
Action from the Chicago Highlands Invitational begins with two rounds Monday, with the third and final round set for Tuesday. The Nittany Lions will tee off from 8:10-8-50 a.m. ET Monday. Live scoring will be available via GolfStat.
