Quail Valley Collegiate Day One Results
VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Penn State men's golf team is five-under through the first two rounds of the Nittany Lions' fall finale at the Quail Valley Collegiate.
Penn State sits 13th in the 16-team field at 5-under, 571, through the first two rounds. The Nittany Lions fired a 6-under, 282, in the opening round and followed with a 1-over, 289, in the second round.
Graduate student Jimmy Meyers leads the Nittany Lions at 7-under, 137, through the opening two rounds to sit tied for 10th. Meyers carded a 5-under, 67, in the morning round and followed up with a 2-under, 70, in the afternoon.
Graduate student Patrick Sheehan is tied for 33rd at 2-under, 142. He shot a pair of 1-under, 71's. Sophomore Billy Pabst Jr. is also tied for 33rd at 2-under, 142, after a 2-under, 70, in the opening round and an even 72 in the second round.
Junior Jake Griffin is tied for 81st a 9-over, 153, while freshman Zach Smith is tied for 83rd at 10-over, 154.
The Quail Valley Collegiate and Penn State's fall season conclude tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will continue to be available via Golf Genius.
