UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's golf team is set for its penultimate tournament of the fall season when the Nittany Lions travel to East Tennessee State's Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Sunday through Tuesday.
Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. each day, with one round per day being played Sunday-Tuesday in the 54-hole event at the par-72, 7,147-yard Blackthorn Club. The Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate has been a staple of Penn State's fall schedule in years past, with the Nittany Lions capturing the championship in 2015 and again in 2017. Three of the program's top 10 individual low round scores were achieved at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate with a 54-hole tournament team score tied for the second-best mark all-time.
The Nittany Lions will be represented by Patrick Sheehan, Jake Griffin, Robby O'Regan, Morgan Lofland and James Allen. Sheehan has finished in the top 15 of all three of Penn State's fall tournaments thus far this season. Lofland will be making his 2023-24 season debut.
The Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate will mark Penn State's fourth of five tournaments during the fall season. Penn State most recently competed in Duke's Rod Myers Invitational on Sept. 24-25 where the Nittany Lions finished eighth in the 12-team field.
Live scoring of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate will be available via GolfStat.
