Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Day Two Results
JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – The Penn State men's golf team moved up two spots in the team race while junior Jake Griffin holds down a spot in the top five following a strong second round at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Monday.
The Nittany Lions shot an even 288 in Monday's second round and now sit in seventh place in the 15-team field at 3-over, 579, heading into Tuesday's final round.
Griffin carded a 2-under, 70, Monday to follow up on his opening-round 69, and now sits tied for fourth place at 5-under, 139, heading into Tuesday's third and final round.
Graduate student Patrick Sheehan shot an even 72 in the second round and is tied for 20th at an even 144.
Senior James Allen moved up 18 spots Monday thanks to an even 72 in the second round. Allen sits at 4-over, 148, and in a tie for 53rd place. Freshman Robby O'Regan carded a 2-over, 74, Monday and is also tied for 53rd at 4-over, 148.
Junior Morgan Lofland is tied for 81st at 9-over, 153, following a 4-over, 76, Monday.
