UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Highly-accomplished golfer Will Preston has signed his National Letter of Intent to join head coach Mark Leon and the Penn State men's golf program in the Nittany Lions' Class of 2028.

The top-ranked junior golfer in the state of Michigan, Preston will come to Happy Valley following a standout junior and high school career at Catholic Central High School.
Preston's highly accomplished junior career led him to being named a 2023 Rolex/AJGA Scholastic All-American. He was crowned the 2023 Michigan Junior AM champion and the 2023 AJGA UHY Detroit Junior champion. The Ada, Mich. native finished top 10 at 2023 Michigan Medal Play, was the runner-up at the 2023 Golf Association of Michigan Junior (GAM) Invite, collected top-six finishes at AJGA Coca-Cola and Randy Wise, and qualified for match play at the 2023 Michigan Amateur.
A three-time All-State selection, Preston helped lead Catholic Central High School to a pair of state championships during his junior (2023) and freshman (2021) seasons. He earned All-State honors during his freshman and sophomore campaigns, and All-State Super Team honors as a junior. He was also named the 2020 GAM 15U Player of the Year.
Preston is ranked first in the state of Michigan and top 50 in the 2024 class by both JGS and Rolex/AJGA rankings.
Preston will enroll at Penn State ahead of the 2024-25 season.
