UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women's lacrosse opens its 2024 season against Bucknell Tuesday, February 13 in Holuba Hall.
First draw between No. 17 ranked Penn State and Bucknell is set for 1 p.m. (ET). Game time and location was originally set for a road match at 4 p.m., but due to the weather forecast the game was relocated to University Park.
Fans are encouraged to exercise caution when choosing to attend the women's lacrosse game due to the potential inclement weather and road conditions.

Parking
Spectators can pay for parking using the ParkMobile app in the zone 95112 commuter lots or at the pay station lots. The East Are Parking Deck will also be available for parking. The game will not be listed on the ParkMobile app; however spectators can use zone number 95112 to pay.
The lot directly outside of Holuba Hall will not be open for spectators that do not have a valid campus parking permit that allows you to park in that lot.
Nittany Lions vs. Bison
Tuesday will be the 21st all-time meeting between the two teams. The Nittany Lions lead the all-time series 20-0.
The last time the teams met Penn State defeated Bucknell, 16-6 in their 2023 season opener at home. Kristin O'Neill led the offense with six goals and seven points. Sammy Dupcak collected five groundballs and six caused turnovers. The team outshot Bucknell 43-11.
Scouting the Bison
Head coach Jackie Dando enters her fifth year with the Bison. The team finished 6-10 overall and 2-7 in the Patriot League. Bucknell failed to make the postseason the last two years.
Allie Boyce returns for the Bison. She led the team with 50 goals and was a preseason All-Patriot League selection.
Preseason Nods
Penn State was ranked No. 14 in the USA Lacrosse preseason poll and No. 18 in the IWLCA preseason poll. In the Big Ten, the Nittany Lions were picked to finish seventh.
Senior captain Kristin O'Neill was named a USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American third team and was an Inside Lacrosse Returning Player to Watch. She was also named a Big Ten Player to Watch along with junior Ellie Hollin and senior Sammy Dupcak.

The Nittany Lions' return 29-of-33 players from their 2023 roster, including 12 players who appeared in every game last season. The 39-player roster features nine freshmen, eight sophomores, eight juniors, nine seniors and five graduate students.
Fresh Faces
Penn State adds nine freshmen to the 2024 roster: Abby Baker, Ryan St. Pierre, Lainey Straub, Cailin Hetrick, Kelly MacKinney, Sydney Manning, Evelyn Scallion, Mink Martinez and Lilly Spilker.
MacKinney and Manning were named Inside Lacrosse Top 100 Freshmen in November.
