MADISON, Wisc.- The No. 14/13 Penn State women's ice hockey team narrowly fell in overtime to No. 7 St. Lawrence 1-0 in the NCAA Regional Semifinal game on Thursday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After three scoreless periods, St. Lawrence would score the game-winning goal with 10:25 remaining in the first overtime period off the stick of Kristina Bahl to walk away with the 1-0 victory.
GOALTENDER
- Sophomore goalie Katie DeSa tallied a career-high 43 saves while her record fell to 9-3-2 on the year.
STATS AND NOTES
- This is the second straight NCAA Regional Semifinal game the Nittany Lions have gone into overtime.
- The Nittany Lions were out-shot 44-36.
- This is the first NCAA Regional Semifinal game the Nittany Lions have been shutout.
- Penn State finishes the 2023-24 season with a 22-13-3 overall record and 14-4-2 record in CHA play.
