UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Three Penn State men's lacrosse players were claimed by Premier Lacrosse League teams on Friday morning. Grant Haus, Jack Posey, and Mac Costin were each claimed by teams.
Haus, who will be joining the Maryland Whipsnakes with fellow teammate TJ Malone, recently captured his second USA Lacrosse All-American nod as he was awarded a Third Team All-American selection. Haus receives the honor after being named to the All-Big Ten Second Team. Haus tallied two goals and one assist while causing one turnover and scooped four ground balls during the regular season.
Haus scored goals at Ohio State and against Michigan this season. On the year, Haus has two goals, and one assist while causing three turnovers and scooping 25 ground balls.
Posey has had limited playing time this season as he was recovering from an injury earlier this year, but has played in six games this year and has scooped five ground balls. In his career, he has caused 21 turnovers, scooped 52 ground balls, and has scored four goals. In 2023, he was an USILA, Inside Lacrosse, and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention and named to the All-Big Ten Second Team. Posey was claimed by the Carolina Chaos.
Costin was claimed by the Denver Outlaws after putting up a career season. He has tallied a career-high 33 points off 30 goals and three assists. In total he has tallied 12 multi-point games in the 15 games he' played in. In his career, Costin has racked up 80 points off 67 goals and 13 assists.
The Nittany Lions return to action on Sunday, May 12 when they travel to face No. 7/6 Georgetown in the NCAA tournament first round at 2:30 p.m.
