Men’s Golf Announces Fall Schedule

Nittany Lions slated for five fall tournaments

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men’s golf team will compete in five tournaments, including serving as a co-host in the inaugural Canadian Intercollegiate, as the Nittany Lions announced their fall 2024 schedule Tuesday.

Fall action begins Sept. 6-8 when the Nittany Lions head to Tennessee’s Visit Knoxville Intercollegiate at the Tennessee National Golf Club.

Penn State will then co-host the inaugural Canadian Intercollegiate on Sept. 16-17 at Oviinbyrd Golf Club in MacTier, Ontario, Canada. The tournament will be conducted by Golf Canada and co-hosted by Penn State and Kent State who are both led by Canadian head coaches in Penn State's Mark Leon and Kent State's Jon Mills. The tournament will feature NCAA Division I men's golf teams with prominent Canadian ties along with the team champions of the 2024 Canadian University/College Championship. The inaugural event marks the first time that an NCAA Division I men's golf tournament will be played in Canada.

The Nittany Lions return to action two weeks later at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational, hosted by West Virginia on Sept. 30-Oct. 1. Located in Farmington, Pa., Nemacolin Resort features two Pete Dye-designed courses.

Penn State will then head to the Sunshine State just five days later to compete in Florida Gulf Coast’s West Bay Collegiate. The event will be held on Oct. 6-7 at the West Bay Country Club.

The Nittany Lions wrap up the fall portion of their 2024-25 schedule on Oct. 14-15 with a trip to the Qubein Cup, hosted by High Point. The fall finale will be played at Sedgefield Country Club in Guilford County, North Carolina.
