BOSTON - Penn State women's ice hockey junior Katie DeSa was named the Atlantic Hockey America Goaltender of the Week as the league announced on Monday. This is DeSa's second Goaltender of the Week nod in her career.
DeSa had a strong start to the 2024-25 season allowing just three goals in the entire series to No. 13/13 Northeastern. She was a rock in net in game two allowing just one goal and making 17 saves on 18 shots which aided in the Nittany Lions 2-1 victory. She currently sits with 11 wins in her career, save percentage of .925 and career GAA of 1.57.
Penn State returns to action on Friday, Oct. 4 when they begin a two-game series at No. 9 UConn. Puck-drop is set for 3 p.m.
