Hollin Tabbed Preseason All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine

SPARKS, Md. – Senior defender Ellie Hollin was named a preseason all-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine Wednesday morning. The honors come after she earned an honorable mention nod by the publication at the end of the 2024 season.

Hollin has spent the off season honing her craft, earning invites to both U.S. Women’s Field National Team training camps where she has competed for an invite to the final training camp held at the USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland, in June. There, Team USA will make final roster decisions for the travel party to the 2026 Pan-American Women’s Lacrosse Championship Qualifier. The top four teams at the qualifier will earn a bid to the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship.

The Monkton, Maryland, native was second on the team in caused turnovers with 21 and scooped up 21 groundballs in 2024. She held some of the top players in the country (Ava Angello [Johns Hopkins], Elle Clevenger [Maryland], Cassidy Spilis [Rutgers]) to two goals each.

Hollin and the preseason No. 19 women’s lacrosse team open the 2025 season at home when the team hosts Richmond on Saturday, February 8 at Panzer Stadium. Action will begin at 1 p.m. and will be streamed live on B1G+.
