CHICAGO - The Big Ten named Penn State men’s lacrosse senior goaltender Jack Fracyon its Specialist of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. This is Fracyon’s first weekly award of the year and fourth of his career.
Fracyon had a strong week allowing just five goals against Villanova on Sunday. He tallied 10 saves on 15 shots attempted and scooped four ground balls in the win. It was the 23rd time in his career he’s let up less than 10 goals in a single game. Meanwhile, five goals are the third lowest number of goals he’s allowed in a single game in his career. The Annapolis, Md. native also sits seventh all-time in career saves with 519. Nationally, he sits 10th in the nation in save percentage (.632) and 19th in save per game as he averages 12 per game.
Penn State returns to action on Saturday, February 15 when they host No. 8 Princeton. The game begins at 1 p.m.
