UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — No. 25 Penn State Women’s Gymnastics will travel to Los Angeles to compete against new Big Ten foe, No. 5 UCLA, on Friday, Feb. 14 at 11 p.m. ET. The late-night matchup will be nationally-televised on the Big Ten Network.

LAST TIME OUT
The Nittany Lions recorded a 195.550-195.225 win on the road in Maryland, which marked their third-straight Big Ten dual meet victory. A consistent performance on all four rotations propelled by a strong start on bars with five tallies of 9.8-or-higher from Penn State gymnasts carried the momentum through the rest of the meet.
Freshman Elizabeth Leary completed her fourth all-around of the season and earned her first all-around win of her career with a score of 39.050.
VAULT – No. 31
Penn State moves up in the vault rankings to No. 31 after scoring a 48.850 team total. Johnston posted an event-winning score of 9.85 to round off the second rotation against Maryland.
BARS – No. 19
In the only 49-plus team score from either side during the meet, the Nittany Lions ended their bars rotation with a team score of 49.025, fronted by a 9.825 from Gabbie Gallentine. Leary, Maddie Johnston, Kalea McElligott and Dani Latronica all earned scores of 9.8 in a strong opening rotation.
BEAM – No. 28
In their last rotation on beam, the Nittany Lions totaled 48.750 to cap off a tight tilt on the road against the Terrapins. Two scores of 9.8-or-higher from Johnston and Latronica, as the final routines of the rotation, helped Penn State earn its third-straight conference win.
FLOOR – No. 23
A 48.925 team score from the floor team secured Penn State’s third rotation win of the meet. McElligott’s score of 9.85 won the event. Freshman Allison Kaempfer recorded a career-best mark of 9.8 on floor and Leary added onto her all-around total with a 9.775.
