UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team defeated Georgetown, 7-0, on Sunday. With many matches going into third sets, the squad battled tough to get the sweep for Penn State.
DOUBLES
On Court 2, Sam Bossem and Loren Byers paired together, taking down Adhvyte Sharma and Akira Morgenstern, 6-3, to claim the doubles point.
Duo Marcus Schoeman and Reiya Hattori played at the third spot, defeating Burke Pablo and James O’Sullivan, 6-2.
On the first court, Charl Morgan and David Lindsay dropped their match to Jake Fellows and Aruther O’Sullivan, 6-3.
SINGLES
Playing at the top spot, Byers took his match into three sets, ultimately taking down Fellows, 7-6(6), 3-6, 6-4.
Morgan played a battle of a match on Court 2, coming up to defeat Morgenstern, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.
At third singles, Bossem took down Arthur O’Sullivan 6-0, 7-5.
Schoeman took court 4, defeating Sharma in a strong 6-4, 6-2 match.
At the fifth spot, Hattori took on James O’Sullivan, defeating him in a smooth 6-1, 6-4 match.
Lindsay played an impressive comeback on Court 6, defeating Sahil Morey 3-6, 6-4, 10-7.
