Two Penn State Fencers Finish in the Top 10 At Junior Olympics

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; – The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams sent 12 fencers to compete at the Junior Olympics which took place in Chapel Hill, N.C. 

In women’s saber, freshman Eve Scott placed 64th and junior Aurora Colter placed 178th. 

In men’s foil sophomore Spencer Burke finished 27th, Julian Chin placed 49th, Jun Ahn placed 93rd, Matthew Gonzales placed 145th and Michael Desando placed 157th.     

The Sabre squad featured top 10 finishes from Kamar Skeete and Neil Lilov. Skeete placed 5th and Lilov placed 8th.  

Following this weekend’s action, Penn State fencers will take part in the Temple Invitational in Philadelphia, Pa., on Sunday, Feb 23.
