UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State baseball has announced its promotional schedule for the 2025 season. All games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park are free admission.
The season-long promotional schedule is highlighted by the return of the popular Dollar Dog Nights on Tuesday nights. Across nine Dollar Dog Nights in 2023 and 2024, Penn State fans have consumed 35,177 hot dogs. Against Kent State last season, Penn State set a Dollar Dog Night record with 8,591 hot dogs eaten and set a new attendance record (5,025).
Every Saturday home game will include postgame autographs and every Sunday game will feature kids run the bases (12 and under).
Penn State’s home schedule begins with its Big Ten opener against Indiana on Friday, March 7. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
The Nittany Lions welcome Michigan State on Friday, March 21 at 5:30 p.m. for 800 Strong night, encouraging fellow student-athletes to attend.
Penn State hosts the Spartans on Sunday, March 23 for Bark in the Park in honor of National Puppy Day. The contest is set to begin at 1 p.m.
The Nittany Lions will celebrate PA Day on Wednesday, March 26 against Bucknell for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.
Penn State welcomes FDU on Wednesday, April 2 at 5:30 p.m. for Military Appreciation Day.
The Nittany Lions host Wear White Night against USC on Friday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Penn State’s contest on Saturday, April 12 against USC will feature postgame fireworks. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
The Nittany Lions will welcome Purdue on Saturday, April 19 for Ice Cream Day. The contest is set to start at 2 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 30, Penn State hosts Rider at 5:30 p.m. for Country Night.
Penn State’s series against Maryland begins with Alumni Day on Friday, May 2 as the Nittany Lions honor the 2000 NCAA Super Regional team.
The series continues on Saturday, May 3 with Backyard Baseball Day, celebrating the popular video game. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
The Nittany Lions finish the series against Maryland on Sunday, May 4 with ALS Awareness Day.
Penn State is set to take on Xavier on Saturday, May 16 at FNB Field, home of the Double-A Harrisburg Senators. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
PSU finishes the regular season on Saturday, May 17, celebrating Senior Day and Little League Day against the Musketeers. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
Penn State is set to open the 2025 season at the inaugural Puerto Rico Challenge on Feb. 14-16. Penn State will take on Missouri on Friday, Feb. 14 at 4 p.m. The Nittany Lions meet Stetson on Saturday at 10 a.m. and UConn on Sunday at 7 p.m. All games will be played at Estadio Yldefonso Solá Morales in Caguas.
In 2024, Penn State went 29-24 overall and 12-12 in Big Ten play in its first year under head coach Mike Gambino. The 29 wins are Penn State’s most under a first-year head coach.
Penn State posted its first winning record in the regular season since 2016 (28-27) and maintained a .500 or better mark from the entire season for the first time since 2011 (32-22). The Blue and White notched its best record in Big Ten play since going 12-12 in 2016.
Penn State reached the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game for the first time since 2000 and won three-straight games to open the Big Ten Tournament for the first time in program history.
