Penn State Fencing to Compete at Temple Invitational

 

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; – The Penn State Nittany Lion men’s and women’s fencing teams, under the guidance of Matteo Zennaro, will continue their 2024-25 seasons at the Temple Invitational in Philadelphia, Pa. Select fencers will compete on Feb 21-Feb 23.  

 

Competing for the Nittany Lion women will be Clarisse Tan, Claire Haas and Sophia Abashindze in epee; Ola StrzalkowskiEve Scott, Aurora Colter, Catherine Kim, Emma Holmes, Mia Novick, and Amelia Baker in saber; Ariel Ratsep, Thea Fernandes, Mikaela Yhip, and Nicole Capodicasa in foil. 

 

The Nittany Lion men will send Jun AhnMichael DeSandoCaiden Cannon, Dusan Zelikovic, Matthew Gonzales, and Julian Chin in foil; Kamar Skeete, Neil Lilov, Fernando Chacon, and Nicholaus Zielinski in saber; Zachary Suico, Sultan Hassan, Vasil Ivamikov, Mitchel Bekker, and Joshua Yavoroskiy in epee. 

 

Following this weekend’s action, Penn State fencers will take part in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Championships on March 8th
