UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; – The Penn State Nittany Lion men’s and women’s fencing teams, under the guidance of Matteo Zennaro, will continue their 2024-25 seasons at the Temple Invitational in Philadelphia, Pa. Select fencers will compete on Feb 21-Feb 23.
Competing for the Nittany Lion women will be Clarisse Tan, Claire Haas and Sophia Abashindze in epee; Ola Strzalkowski, Eve Scott, Aurora Colter, Catherine Kim, Emma Holmes, Mia Novick, and Amelia Baker in saber; Ariel Ratsep, Thea Fernandes, Mikaela Yhip, and Nicole Capodicasa in foil.
The Nittany Lion men will send Jun Ahn, Michael DeSando, Caiden Cannon, Dusan Zelikovic, Matthew Gonzales, and Julian Chin in foil; Kamar Skeete, Neil Lilov, Fernando Chacon, and Nicholaus Zielinski in saber; Zachary Suico, Sultan Hassan, Vasil Ivamikov, Mitchel Bekker, and Joshua Yavoroskiy in epee.
Following this weekend’s action, Penn State fencers will take part in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Championships on March 8th .
