SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Penn State men’s golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday when the Nittany Lions head to the Sea Island Resort in St. Simons Island, Ga. to compete in The Johnnie-O at Sea Island.
The 54-hole event is scheduled to begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Monday for rounds one and two, with the third and final round taking place Tuesday.
The tournament field features host Rutgers, Cincinnati, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Kansas, Marquette, Memphis, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Princeton, UNCG and West Virginia.
The Penn State team lineup will feature Alex Creamean, Jake Griffin, Zach Smith, Andres Barraza and Will Preston. Morgan Lofland will play as an individual.
The Johnnie-O at Sea Island marks Penn State’s third tournament of the spring season. Morgan Lofland and Alex Creamean have been Penn State’s top finishers in each of its two tournaments thus far this season.
