UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men’s track and field athlete Handal Roban has been named the Big Ten Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Roban clocked a 1:45.16 in the 800-meter race last weekend at the Florida Relays. His 1:45.16 currently ranks as the top time in the Big Ten and second in the NCAA thus far this outdoor season. It also marked the No. 2 spot in program history.
Penn State returns to action this weekend at the Duke Invitational Thursday through Saturday and the Bison Outdoor Classic Saturday and Sunday.
