'Dave is back for his final season as he pursues his graduate degree. Last year, he stepped up and performed when we needed him, solidifying the closer's role for much of the year. Lutz is one of our team captains and is someone you can always count on to give 100 percent. He has been a pleasure to coach over the last five years.'

ON CHOOSING PENN STATE: 'I chose Penn State because it was a second home to me throughout my childhood. I have family in the State College area and always came up for a week or two during the summer and winter holidays, plus many of the football games during the fall. It's a good school that is strong in my undergraduate major. I felt very comfortable here and was confident that, even if I changed direction once or twice, opportunities would be there as long as I stuck with Penn State.'

Major & Why: Kinesiology, Movement Science (B.S.) ... Currently enrolled in the Master of Health Administration program (first year of a two-year program). It's an exciting field that interests me and provides a strong foundation for my future.
