Season: In his true freshman campaign, DiCola finished his season earning Mid-Atlantic All-Region honors in just his third in-uniform collegiate competition…DiCola and teammate Evan Dorenkamp were the team’s dynamic 1-2 punch through its postseason run.
Big Ten Championships (10/27): Finished 23rd overall in his first conference competition…Clocked a 25:01.5 as the Nittany Lions’ second-place finisher. NCAA Regional Championships (11/10): In his first 10K race, DiCola nearly broke 30 minutes, going 30:02.3, good for second on the Nittany Lions and 19th in the region…His 19th-place finish was second among freshman in the region…Penn State finished fourth in the region as a team thanks in part to DiCola’s impressive effort.

Attended Hatboro-Horsham High School where he put together one of the most outstanding single seasons in Pennsylvania prep history, earning 2022-23 Pennsylvania Boys Track & Field Gatorade Player of the Year honors for his effort…Won the 2022 PIAA Cross Country championship with a new course record…Qualified for the 2022 EastBay Nationals…Won two PIAA state titles in 2023, winning the 1600m and 3200m…His 8:47.39 3200m time is a PIAA record…Won 2023 New Balance Nationals 5K title…Won 2023 Penn Relays High School Boys Mile championship…Set the No. 2 prep mile time in Pennsylvania history at the 2023 Hoka Festival of Miles…In total, was a five-time All-American across track and cross country.

Son of Aurthur and Colleen DiCola…Has three siblings, Lillian, Benjamin, and Daniel…Hobbies include reviewing music, playing frisbee, biking, and statistics…Majoring in civil engineering…Chose Penn State because it is a “great school, a great campus, and has lots of places to run. I love the team and the coaches, as well as the school’s history of success in athletics and academics.”
