Meet-By-Meet: St. Bonaventure (10/9): Finished second in the 1-meter (292.35) and third in the 3-meter (267.15). at Army (11/7): Placed third in the 3-meter (299.78) and fourth in the 1-meter (262.28). at West Virginia (1/30): Recorded a fourth-place finish on platform (262.43). Big Ten Championships (2/25-28): Posted scores of 228.7 on 1-meter, 241.65 on 3-meter and 166.05 on platform.
2024-25 (Sophomore) -
- West Virginia (2/1): Placed third in men’s 1M diving (270.90) and 3M diving (303.90).
- Navy (10/4): Finished fifth in men’s 1M diving (259.95).
2023-24 (Freshman) -
- St. Bonaventure (9/30): Touched third in the 3 meter with a score of 246.75.
- Navy (10/7): Finished third in the 1 meter with a 295.05. Added a career-best dive with a score of 300.75 in the 3 meter.
- Big Al Invitational (12/1-12/3): Recorded a personal best score of 247.80 in the platform dive.
- Villanova (2/2): Touched third in the 1 meter with a 307.58, his career best.
High School
McGaughey was an All American, USA Junior National Qualifier and AAU National Finalist while attending high school at Langley. He also achieved First Team All District and First Team All Region awards. Langley was able to win a State Championship during McGaughey's four years diving for the team.
Personal
McGaughey mother, Beth McGaughey, attended Seton Hall, and Dave McGaughey is a Penn State alumni. His older sister currently plays field hockey at William and Mary in Williamsburg Va. McGaughey dove for the Dominion Dive Club where he was coached by Stephanie Sutton and Jenni Brown.
