BEFORE PENN STATE
George, a native of New Albany, Ohio, arrived in Happy Valley after a productive inaugural campaign at in-state rival Pittsburgh… She contributed a .333 batting average highlighted by a pair of home runs and two additional doubles… Her 1.026 first-year OPS led the Panther roster last season, and she paired that effort with a trio of RBI… In her only season with the Panthers, George picked up distinction as a member of the All-ACC Academic Team, garnering recognition for her stellar work in the classroom throughout her freshman season.
HIGH SCHOOL
A dominant prospect on both sides of the ball, George played high school softball at New Albany High School, picking up a pair of All-Ohio honors in addition to breaking single-season school records in home runs, runs scored and batting average… Her senior season at New Albany saw George land First Team Central District, First Team All-OCC, First Team All-Metro Third Baseman, Offensive Player of the Year and USA Today Central Ohio Super 12 accolades, the most dominant individual campaign of her high school career… Her junior year in 2022 saw her add multiple accolades, including First Team Central District, First Team All-OCC, First Team All-Metro Third Baseman, Offensive Player of the Year and USA Today Central Ohio Super 12 and Defensive Gold Glove laurels… Despite being unable to play her freshman year due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, George surged out of the gates in 2021 with First Team Central District, First Team All-OCC, USA Today Central Ohio Super 12 Team and Offensive Player of the Year honors… George handled her travel ball commitments with the Beverly Bandits from 2017 to 2023 under the guidance of coaches Lee Richards and Larry Mercurio, earning distinction as an Extra Inning Top-100 Player in all four of her high school seasons.
PERSONAL
Born in the fall of 2004 in New Albany, Ohio, Jordan George is the eldest child and only daughter of Jennifer and Marc George… She has one younger sibling, a brother named Logan who is five years her junior… George is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree from Penn State’s College of the Liberal Arts, studying Global and International Studies during her time in Happy Valley… She expects to graduate from PSU in the spring of 2027 and begin a career in international business at the conclusion of her playing days… In her spare time, George enjoys traveling, staying involved with her church, serving the special needs community, attending concerts and reading… She has been involved with multiple charitable and community organizations, including Handshake America, Night to Shine, Miracle League and Buddy Up.
