NOTES: Finished just two inches shy of a trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2023, coming in 13th in the East region in the shot put.
2024 Outdoor
Season: Won the outdoor opener…Placed seventh in the shot put at the Big Ten Championships…Qualified for the NCAA East Region Prelims for the third time in his career.
UCF Knights Invite (3/22-23): Won the shot put in the outdoor season opener with a 59-2 (18.03m) throw. Hurricane Alumni Invitational (4/5-6): Set a season best with a 62-4 (19.00m) effort, his first 19-plus-meter throw since the 2023 Big Ten Championships. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/10-12): Placed seventh in the conference with a 59-7 (18.16m) shot put effort.
2024 Indoor
Season: Finished eighth in the shot put at the Big Ten Championships…Placed inside the top eight in every shot put competition in the 2024 indoor season.
Nittany Lion Challenge (1/13): Recorded a 59-9.5 (18.22m) shot put in his 2024 season opener…Placed fourth in the meet. Penn State Tune-Up (2/16): Won the shot put competition with a 59-10.25 (18.24m) toss. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/23-24): Recorded his best throw of the season at the 2024 conference meet, finishing eighth in the shot put with a 60-8.5 (18.50m) effort.
2023 Outdoor
Season: Qualified for the NCAA East Prelims for the second time in his career…Earned four top-two finishes in the shot put during the regular season.
Penn Challenge (3/18): Threw 59-0.25 (17.99m) in the shot put to win the first outdoor competition of the season. Hurricane Collegiate Invitational (3/25): Went 60-8 (18.49m) for a second-place effort in the shot put. Virginia Challenge (4/20-22): Earned his third-straight second-place finish with a 60-5.25 (18.42m) throw. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/12-14): Blew away his old PR by over a full meter with a massive 65-0.75 (19.83m) throw to finish fourth in the Big Ten…With the PR, Pizarro moved all the way up to fourth place on Penn State’s all-time outdoor shot put list, among the company of Olympians Joe Kovacs and Darrell Hill. NCAA East Prelims (5/25-27): Finished 13th in the region, just one spot short of a trip to the NCAA Championships with a 61-4.25 (18.70m) throw.
2023 Indoor
Season: Finished tenth in the Big Ten in the shot put…Earned two top-six shot put finishes in the regular season
Nittany Lion Challenge (1/14): In his first indoor competition since 2021, Pizarro threw 55-7.75 (16.96m) for sixth place. Penn State Tune-Up (2/17): Went 56-11.25 (17.35m) for third place. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/24-25): Set a season-best mark with a 57-10.25 (17.63m) effort for tenth place at the conference championship meet.
2022 Outdoor
Season: Placed second in lone event of season in shot put at Bison Outdoor Classic.
Bison Outdoor Classic (4/14-16): In his only event of the season, threw 59-5.5 (18.12m) in the shot put to finish second overall.
2022 Indoor
Season: Did not compete.
2021 Outdoor
Season: Qualified for the NCAA East Prelims in the shot put following an 11th-place finish in the Big Ten conference.
Jim Thorpe Invite (5/7): Recorded a personal best throw of 61-1.5 (18.63m) to win the shot put, moving into ninth place on Penn State’s all-time list. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/14-16/21): Placed 11th in the shot put with a throw of 57-5.5 (17.51m). NCAA East Prelims (5/25-27/21): Qualified in the shot put for the first time in his career, throwing 58-4 (17.78m) for 29th in the region.
2021 Indoor
Season: Set a season-best 16.80m shot put mark at the Penn State Tri meet.
Penn State Tri-Meet (2/6): Placed third in the shot put with an indoor season-best 55-1.5 (16.80m) throw. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/25-27/21): Competed in the shot put, finishing 24th overall with a 50-1.75 (15.28m) best effort.
2020 Outdoor
Season: Cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Season: Did not compete.

Son of Sadot and Kimberly Pizarro…Has three siblings, Sadot Jr., Ariel and Dymonn…Grandfather competed in decathlon at Seton Hall…Chose Penn State because “The academic and athletic prestige, and the sense that everyone in the Penn State family is there to help me become a better person and give me a head start in adulthood. Ever since middle school I knew Penn State is where I wanted to continue my future, and going in to high school the dream of attending Penn State provided motive for me to do the work necessary to be able to make my dream a reality”…Graduated from Penn State with a degree in electrical engineering…Born in New Jersey.
