Season: Competed in the hammer throw, shot put, and discus throw events during her first outdoor campaign.
UCF Knights Invite (3/22-23): Set PRs in the shot put (44-6.75, 13.58m) and discus (138-9, 42.30m) events in the outdoor season opener…Placed sixth in the hammer throw with a 170-3 (51.89m) effort. Jim Thorpe Invitational (5/3): Recorded a personal-best 180-11 (55.14m) hammer throw effort. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/10-12): Placed 23rd in the conference in the hammer throw (164-7, 50.16m)…Did not record a shot put mark.
2024 Indoor
Season: Competed in eight meets for the Nittany Lions in her first indoor season.
Bison Opener (12/1-2/2023): Finished fourth in the weight throw with a 51-7 (15.72m)…Claimed fifth in the shot put with a 41-1 (12.52m) effort. Sykes & Sabock Challenge (2/3): Placed third overall in the weight throw with a 57-9.75 (17.62m) throw, her second-best of the season…Went 39-8.75 (12.11m) in the shot put for 16th. Penn State Tune-Up (2/16): Set her season-best weight throw mark with a 58-10.75 (17.95m) toss, earning third place…Finished second in the shot put with a 43-6 (13.26m) effort. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/23-24): Finished 20th in the conference in the shot put and 24th in the weight throw.

Attended Unionville High School where she competed in the throws events for the Longhorns track & field squad…She earned three state medals in her senior year in the throws events…Also played basketball during her time at Unionville.

Daughter of Tom and Susan Pancoast…Has seven siblings: sisters: Matilda, Susie, April, Samantha, Rebecca, and Faith, and brother: Tom…Sisters Matilda and Susie both attended Penn State and competed in the throws events for the Nittany Lions’ track & field team…Brother, Tom, played football for the Nittany Lions…In addition to Matilda, Susie, and Tom, Alex’s mother Susan, and sisters April and Samantha, attended Penn State…Enjoys baking, cooking, knitting, anything art-related in her free time…Chose Penn State because “besides the fact that almost my whole family went here, a degree from Penn State goes a long way. The connections you make here are invaluable, the campus is beautiful, and it’s a great school all-around.”
