2024 – JUNIOR SEASON
 
Awards: Academic All-Big Ten…Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
Season: Competed 15 meets for the Nittany Lions…Was an integral part in every Nittany Lion bars lineup during the 2024 campaign.
 
Meet-by-meet: at Penn w/Pitt, Temple (1/5): Recorded a 9.7 and a 9.775 on bars in the Nittany Lions’ season opener. Iowa State (1/12): Scored a 9.775 on bars in the home opener. Big Fives (2/24): Recorded 9.825s on vault and bars.  Ball St., Towson, WVU (3/1): Collected a 9.825 on vault as well as a 9.775 on bars. at George Washington w/Rutgers, Towson (3/17): Tied her season-best with a 9.825 on bars…also posted another 9.825 on vault, recording her second-straight meet with 9.8+ totals on both events. Regional Second Round (4/4): Posted a season-best 9.85 on vault and added a 9.75 on bars. Regional Final (4/6): Made her season debut on floor with a 9.8…Added a 9.825 on vault and a 9.75 on bars in the final meet of the season.

2023 – SOPHOMORE SEASON
Awards: Preseason Big Ten Gymnast to Watch…Big Ten Distinguished Scholar…Academic All-Big Ten.
Season: Competed in 14 meets during the season for the Nittany Lions…Set career-best scores in the all-around, bars, beam, and floor.
 
Meet-by-meet: at Denver Tri (1/8): Posted three 9.8+ scores and finished with a 39.200 in the all-around…Went 9.825 on vault, 9.8 on bars, 9.7 on beam, and 9.875 on floor. William & Mary (3/3): Scored another 39.200 in the all-around, tying her season-best on the vault with a 9.85. at Auburn (3/10): Set a career-high mark in the all-around with a 39.350…Scored 9.85s on bars and floor and posted 9.825s on vault and beam, helping the Nittany Lions achieve the sixth-best team total in program history, a 197.025 effort. Pittsburgh Regional I (3/18): Posted 9.85s on beam and floor on her way to a 39.300 in the all-around. Pittsburgh Regional II (3/19): Tied the fifth-best regionals floor score in school history with a 9.9 on the apparatus…Scored a 39.075 in the all-around to help her team break the school record in regional competition with a 196.825.
 
2022 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Season: Competed in 10 meets across three events - vault, uneven bars, and floor exercise - in first season in Happy Valley...Topped out at 9.900 on vault and 9.850 on bars, and 9.800 on floor...Scored 9.800 or better five times on vault and six times on bars. 

at Keystone Classic (1/7): Scored 9.825 on vault, 9.800 on bars, and 9.575 on floor in collegiate debut. Yale (1/14): In home debut, recorded 9.775 on vault, 9.825 on bars, and 9.650 on floor. at Iowa (2/4): Had highest vault (9.850) and bars (9.825) performances up to that point in the season. Big Five Meet (2/19): Set season high on vault at 9.900. Maryland (2/16): Recorded season high on bars at 9.850. at New Hampshire (3/13): Scored 9.800-or higher on all vault, bars, and floor, including season-high 9.800 on floor. 

Gymnastics Background: 
Johanson was a member of the Gymnastics Express under coach Maureen Chagnon...Level 10 National qualifier 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021...2021 Level 10 Nationals bars- 4th place...2021 Level 10 Nationals bars- 4th place.

Personal: 
Daughter of Glenn and Mindy Johanson...Has two siblings (sister Ashley and brother Jadon)...Studying Kinesiology at Penn State...Born in Connecticut.
