Ron Banerjee serves as Student-Athlete Financial & Career Coach within the Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center at Penn State University Athletics, supporting Division I student-athletes through the Money Drills program with individual financial coaching, education, and mentorship.
In this role, Banerjee works directly with student-athletes to build financial confidence and develop personalized plans for life after sport. His work spans one-on-one coaching sessions and group financial education, helping student-athletes at all stages of eligibility navigate financial decision-making, long-term planning, and the practical realities of transitioning out of collegiate competition.
Banerjee brings more than 15 years of experience across financial services, organizational development, and training. He spent two decades as a Regional Branch Manager and Financial Advisor with Voya Financial Advisors, managing approximately 600 clients and $50 million in assets across tax-exempt markets. He also served as Managing Director of ArjunaEnviroTech Inc., where he led cross-functional teams and people strategy initiatives, and contributed to Penn State's Office of Student Affairs as a part-time Training and Development Officer, designing and delivering programs that reached thousands of students across the University Park campus.
Banerjee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and Sciences, a Master of Professional Studies in Organization Development and Change, and is a doctoral candidate in Workforce Education at Penn State.
