UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's ice hockey team hosted their annual media day on Thursday afternoon inside the Pegula Ice Arena media room led by head coach Guy Gadowsky's press conference.
Following Gadowsky on the podium were the three captains: David Goodwin (Des Peres, Mo.), Ricky DeRosa (Aston, Pa.) and James Robinson (Cochrane, Alberta).
Earlier this week Penn State finalized it's 2016-17 TV schedule as they announced at least 12 televised games on the calendar beginning with the October 22 match-up at Notre Dame, which will be televised across the country on NBCSN at 7:05 p.m.
The Lions will also welcome ESPNU to campus for their Big Ten Conference opener against the Michigan Wolverines on December 1 with a 6:30 p.m. puck drop as well as appearing at least nine times for regular season contests across BTN/BTN2Go.
The 2016-17 Nittany Lions kick-off their season slate this upcoming Sunday as they welcome Queen's (Ontario) to "Hockey Valley" for the International Game with puck-drop scheduled for 1 p.m. Four days later PSU opens regular season play with a pair of contests against No. 16 St. Lawrence on October 6-7, both games slated for 7 p.m. face-offs.
