Lavonte Davis enters his first season as a graduate assistant at Penn State in 2024-25.
Davis came to Happy Valley after one season as a graduate assistant at Iowa State in 2023-24. During his season on staff, the Cyclones won the Big 12 Championship and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Davis spent the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at Lane Community College, while also serving as the head coach at North Eugene High School for two seasons. Davis was also an assistant coach at the U.S. Basketball Academy from 2018-19 before moving to be the Head International Coach at the U.S. Basketball Academy from 2018-20. Davis also spent time volunteering with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA's G League in 2018.
A graduate of Indiana Tech, Davis is the school's all-time leader in blocked shots. He earned second team all-conference honors as a senior.
