Patrick Dorney enters his second season as Director of Basketball Operations with the Nittany Lions in 2024-25.
Prior to coming to Penn State ahead of the 2023-24 season, Dorney served as the head boys basketball coach at Collingswood High School in Collingswood, N.J. for the previous 11 years where he also taught history. Dorney was previously the head men’s basketball coach at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pa. from 2003-2011.
A college teammate of head coach Mike Rhoades, Dorney played both basketball and football collegiately at Lebanon Valley College from 1989-1993.
Dorney and his wife have three children, Madison, Patrick, and Maggie.
