2025 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Awards: One of four Penn Staters to secure Second Team All-Big Ten Conference designation in the postseason… Named an NFCA Second Team All-Northeast Region honoree alongside three teammates… Recognized as the sixth-ranked utility/designated player in college softball by Softball America in the outlet’s April and May position rankings… Became the fourth B1G Player of the Week recipient under the leadership of head coach Clarisa Crowell, landing those accolades on March 10… Picked up recognition as an NFCA Leadoff Classic All-Tournament Team performer… Named an Academic All-B1G selection in the postseason.
Season: Published an astonishing breakout sophomore campaign in 2025, leading the Nittany Lions in practically every offensive statistic to help the program shatter a wide array of single-season school records… One of three players to appear and start in all 52 contests… Turned in a .422 batting average to lead the roster while notching the fourth-best average in a single season in school history… Finished the year with 65 hits, tied for the eighth-most in a single season at PSU… Shattered the single-season doubles record with 23, passing the previous record of 18… Added 13 home runs, the fourth-most in a single year at PSU, while logging a pair of triples to finish with 38 extra-base hits… Became the third woman in Penn State history to score 50 runs, as well as the first to surpass 50 RBI by cranking 53 in her second collegiate season… Logged a season-long OPS of 1.328 comprised of an .851 slugging percentage and .478 on base percentage… Embarked on a 32-game reached-base streak that finished as the second-longest run of that nature in college softball… Led Penn State with the team’s longest hitting streak of the season over a 14-game stretch… Paced the roster in multiple-hit and multiple-RBI games, adding 18 and 14, respectively… Contributed 17 putouts and 18 assists in limited defensive opportunities.
Rankings: Ranked second in college softball and second in the Big Ten with 23 doubles and 0.44 doubles per game… Placed eighth on the league’s batting average leaderboard and inside the top 50 nationally with an eye-popping .422 mark… Ranked seventh in the Big Ten and 24th nationally with a 0.851 slugging percentage… Was ninth in the B1G in RBI per game (1.02) and 14th in the conference in total RBI (53)… Scored the 12th-most runs per game in the Big Ten with 0.96 and added the 13th-most total bases in the league with 131… Finished 17th in the B1G in hits (65), homers per game (0.25) and on base percentage (0.478).
vs. Texas Tech (2/7): Kicked off the second-longest reached base streak in college softball with an emphatic start against the Red Raiders, going 3-for-4 with a run scored in addition to her first collegiate triple. vs. Kennesaw State (2/8): Cranked her first collegiate home run, finishing the day 1-for-1 with a pair of sacrifice flies and a quartet of RBI. vs. Robert Morris (2/28): Spearheaded a dominant offensive performance from the PSU bats, going 3-for-4 with a trio of runs scored and all three hits coming in extra-base fashion split between a pair of doubles and a home run. Canisius (3/7): Put on a show against the Golden Griffins with a 3-for-4 day at the plate that included three runs scored while matching the PSU single-game home run record with a pair of long balls. Fairfield (3/7): Was a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish with three runs, a double, home run and three RBI in addition to a stolen base. at Indiana (3/21): Lifted Penn State to a marathon win at Indiana following a 3-for-4 performance with two runs, two doubles, a walk and an RBI. Rutgers (4/5): Helped secure the sweep versus the Scarlet Knights with three hits in four at-bats, adding four runs scored and three RBI highlighted by a double and homer. Ohio State (4/12): Pushed PSU to its first run-rule win over a ranked foe, going 2-for-3 with two runs, three RBI and a homer. at Maryland (4/25): Lifted the lid on the Maryland series with a 2-for-r showing that featured three runs and a pair of doubles. B1G Tournament First Round vs. Iowa (5/7): Led the Nittany Lions with a 2-for-4 showing at the plate, amassing a run and a double with a pair of RBI.
2024 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Season: Debuted with the Nittany Lions and participated in 33 contests with 11 starts split between third base and designated player roles… Accumulated a .239 batting average with a .357 OBP and .283 slugging percentage… Mustered 11 hits highlighted by a pair of doubles, adding 10 RBI and nine walks drawn in her inaugural season… Swiped a pair of bags on the basepath… Registered a pair of putouts and trio of assists in limited action at third base.
vs. Marshall (2/9): Made her collegiate debut as the designated player, going 1-for-3 with a single in her first career appearance. vs. Morgan State (2/24): Tallied a pair of RBI in the doubleheader against the Bears, adding a pair of stolen bases in the lid-lifter. at Texas State (3/7): Registered a season-high pair of assists in the first game of the weekend series. Lehigh (3/14): Was 1-for-2 at the plate, recording her first collegiate double and batting in a trio of RBI with a walk and sac fly in the eventual 14-12 win. Michigan State (4/12): Mustered a double in her only plate appearance of the game. Michigan State (4/14): Recorded her first collegiate multi-hit outing, going 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. at Ohio State (4/16): Drew a pair of walks and scored her first collegiate run against the Buckeyes.
HIGH SCHOOL
Handled her travel ball commitments with the Illinois Chill Gold program for six years under the direction of coach Gerry Quinn... Led her team to a pair of ninth place finishes in the 18U Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship… Her squad also placed seventh in the Alliance National Championship Series… Booked a runner-up finish in the IDT Colorado Tournament with Illinois Chill Gold... Played High School softball at Johnsburg High School in Johnsburg, Illinois… Earned All-Area and All-Conference distinction in every year of her high school career... Landed First Team All-State accolades in her junior and senior years in addition to a Second-Team All-State appearance in her sophomore season… Helped lead her team to multiple conference and regional titles over the course of her high school career.
PERSONAL
Born in the spring of 2005, Brooke Klosowicz is the eldest daughter of Michelle and Thomas Klosowicz... She has one younger sister, named Hope, who is three years her junior... A native of Johnsburg, Illinois, Klosowicz is a graduate of Johnsburg High School... While in high school, she was an active participant in the Student Council while simultaneously helping to organize the school’s blood drive committee... In her spare time, she enjoys reading and also has a talent for juggling... She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in kinesiology in the Penn State College of Health and Human Development... She hopes to one day become a physical therapist specializing in either collegiate or professional sports.
