Carrie Byrnes Season 2020-21

2023-24 • SENIOR SEASON
Season: Saw action in 36 games for the Nittany Lions.

At Syracuse (10/28): Assisted in the first goal of the game early in the second period in the Penn State win.

2022-23 • JUNIOR SEASON
Season: Skated in 12 games... provided depth at forward with an assist and two shots on goal. 

Syracuse (12/3): Recorded a shot on goal. at RIT (2/17): Had an assist on Lexi Bedier's power-play goal late in the third period.

2021-22 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Season: Provided forward depth as a winger with 25 games played. Scored a pair of goals for two points.

Holy Cross (10/9): Netted first goal of the season from in front of the net in Penn State’s 6-2 nonconference win. Syracuse (11/20): Recorded the Nittany Lions’ first goal of the game early in the first period.

2020-21 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Awards: Chosen CHA Rookie of the Week after three-assist weekend in road series at Robert Morris (1/8-9). 

Season: Skated in all 21 games providing valuable playmaking and depth at forward...Scored two goals with three assists including one game-winning score. 

Lindenwood (1/29): Opened the scoring for Penn State's first championship season with a goal in her first period of collegiate action in 3-0 victory. Syracuse (12/6): Netted first of two Penn State goals in the third period to tie the game in 2-2 draw. at Robert Morris (1/8-9): Had special two-assist night for first-career multi-point game in game one win...Made great backdoor pass to Julie Gough for game-winning goal in third period...Added another helper on Maeve Connolly's opening score in game two win...Named CHA Rookie of the Week.

PRIOR TO PENN STATE
Named team captain for Eden Prairie High School team for the 2019-20 season...Earned four varsity letters for the Eagles...Won two section championships in 2016-17 and 2017-18...Placed third in the Minnesota High School State tournament in 2016-17...Earned All-Lake Conference team honors twice (2018-19, 19-20) and honorable mention once (2017-18)...Recognized by peers as Eden Prairie's rookie of the year (2016-17), most improved player (2017-18) and unsung hero award winner (2018-19)...Lettered in varsity soccer for three years...Named varsity soccer team captain and team forward of the year as a senior...Received All-Lake conference team honors in 2019...Played additional organized hockey for Elite League Red...Earned Academic All-State honors in 2019-20.
