Black Knight Invitational (11/24): Won Black Knight championship with 2-0 mark (both pins) plus two wins over teammates in semis and finals. Lehigh (12/8): Dominated #6 Michael Beard of Lehigh, rolling to 11-3 major decision on the road. Wyoming (12/15): Picked up first period pin of Brant Whitaker (1:48). Journeymen Collegiate (12/22): Went 3-0 in Nashville with a pin and a tech, including impressive 4-1 (sv) win over #5 Stephen Little of Little Rock. Michigan State (1/10): Pinned Cory Thomas in the first period (2:44). Nebraska (1/17): Posted 19-4 tech fall over #22 Camden McDaniel (6:42) in Lincoln. Rutgers (1/24): Stunning 22 points in third period alone to post 22-6 tech fall over #16 John Poznanski (6:19) at Rutgers. Iowa (1/31): Lost first bout of the year to #1 Stephen Buchanan, 5-1. Michigan (2/7): Last second reversal in tie-breaker to snag 3-2 win over #2 Jacob Cardenas in BJC Dual. Maryland (2/9): Rolled to a 17-2 tech fall (4:35) over Chase Mielnik. Ohio State: Dominant 20-5 tech fall (7:00) over #23 Seth Shumate. Illinois (2/16): Majored #17 Zac Braunagel 15-4. American (2/21): Pinned Liam Volk-Klos (1:09).
Big Ten Championships (3/8-9): Won first bout at first Big Tens, a 17-2 tech fall over #20 Camden McDaniel of Nebraska. Lost tough 4-1 (sv) decision to #3 Jacob Cardenas of Michigan in semis and then suffered injury early in conso semis, taking injury default loss to #8 Isaiah Salazar of Minnesota. Finished sixth with a 1-2 mark.
NCAA Championships (3/20-22): Became NCAA national finalist and All-American as a freshman, going 4-1 in first trip to tournament. Began tourney with major over #29 Tucker Logan of Lock Haven then downed #13 Trey Munoz of Oregon State. Rolled to 14-3 major over #5 Michael Beard in quarterfinals then downed #1 Jacob Cardenas of Michigan in semifinals. Lost hard-fought 5-2 decision to #2 Stephen Buchanan of Iowa in the finals.
2023-24 / REDSHIRT SEASON:
Season: Competed in five events as a true freshman, maintaining redshirt and allowing him to be a redshirt freshman in 2024-25...Went 14-0 plus one win over a non-collegiate...Made Big Ten dual debut by majoring Indiana’s Roman Rogotzki 13-4...Had four majors, six techs and a pin....Went 4-0 at Edinboro Open, 2-0 (plus a non-collegiate win) at Mat-Town II, 4-0 at Black Knight Invitational and 3-0 at Journeymen Collegiate...Wrestled entire season at 184.
